The carving stations looked like it was carving left over meats from the previous day. As in any buffet there are inherent problems with food quality, but this was a busy evening and the warmers should have been continuously filled with freshly-prepared food. Some one did keep the table clear of dishes while we were in the food lines. Our waiter showed up with our drinks, but we never saw him again when we needed refills.
Being seated next to a gas-fired fireplace created a cozy feeling for a Christmas Eve dinner. The relatively new remodeling of the restaurant resulted in an elegant and welcoming ambiance. Sitting down and sampling the food reduced our expectations significantly. Entering the food lines reduced our expectation somewhat.
Entering the buffet with four adult members of my family created high expectations for a wonderful meal.
